Red Clover and Vinegar Hair Rinse

Like peas and beans, red clover belongs to the family of plants called legumes. Red clover contains substances called isoflavones—compounds that are structurally related/similar to estrogen. Red clover is purported to help with dandruff control.

Red Clover and Vinegar Hair Rinse

Ingredients

  • 2 Table Spoons Red Clover Loose-leaf Tea

  • 1 Pint Distilled Water

  • 1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar

Directions

Step 1

Boil water and remove from heat.

Step 2

Add the herbs and let sit for 30 minutes.

Step 3

Strain and add the vinegar.

Step 4

Massage room temperature tea into clean hair and leave on for 20 minutes

Step 5

Rinse with cool water and style.

Caution: The rinse should be at room temperature before using. Never pour hot tea in your hair.

Lean over a sink  as you slowly pour the tea over your freshly shampooed hair, massage the infusion into your hair and scalp.

Bonus Tip:
Place a large bowl under your head to catch the liquid and reapply several times. Let the infusion sit in your hair for a few minutes.
Gently rinse with cool water or, for extra conditioning benefits, just leave it in and towel dry hair.
